Rachel

Meet Rachel
She is a 5 month old, pitbull puppy that was dropped off at the Dallas animal shelter with her sister, Monica, due to having a limb deformity.
Rachel‘s deformity is pretty severe. Her 2 front limbs were not fully developed and her back paws are missing the large pads.
It does affect her mobility in the sense that she needs help on hard surfaces and can’t jump on and off of things.
So please take into consideration that she will need assistance as she grows as well.
We are guesstimating she will be around 50lbs full grown.
Unfortunately, due to her age, she is not a candidate for orthopedic surgery just yet. Once she is fully grown, our rescue will get her seen by and orthopedic surgeon and will cover the cost of surgery if she is a candidate.
If she is not a candidate for surgery, or Rescue will also provide prosthetics or wheels if needed.
But in the meantime, we would love to get her into a loving home.
Rachel is extremely playful and affectionate and loves being around other dogs. She would do great in a home with or without dogs.
We are still working on potty training. But she does very well in her playpen.
If you’d love to hop on a call to chat about Rachel, please sumbmit an adoption applicaiton.
If you are out of state, please note that you’ll have to come to Dallas to meet Rachel.
