Meet Dumpling – A Little Frenchie With a Big Personality! 

Dumpling is a 3-year-old French Bulldog with a whole lot of personality, a little bit of sass, and a face that makes it nearly impossible to tell her no.

But before Dumpling became the happy, spunky girl we know today, life wasn’t exactly kind to her.

She came into Dallas Animal Services as a stray with a terrible ear infection that had progressed into an ear hematoma. It was also apparent that she had been bred multiple times. While we’ll never know her entire story, we have a feeling this little girl didn’t have the easiest start in life.

Thankfully, those days are behind her!

Since coming into our rescue, Dumpling has been learning that humans are actually pretty great. They provide comfy beds, delicious meals, affection, and apparently, an endless supply of opportunities to be spoiled.

And Dumpling has decided she’s a pretty big fan of this new lifestyle.

Personality-wise, Dumpling is a happy, energetic little potato who loves being around her people. She does well with calmer dogs who aren’t constantly trying to get in her business.

Now, we should probably mention that Miss Dumpling does have a tiny bit of a diva streak.

She occasionally gets a little jealous when she has to share attention with other dogs. After all, why should someone else be getting belly rubs when SHE is standing right there?

The good news is that she responds very well to correction and is learning that sharing the spotlight isn’t the end of the world.

Because Dumpling can be startled by loud noises, we believe she’d do best in a home with older children who can respect her space and understand her boundaries.

As far as her health goes, Dumpling has come a long way! Her biggest ongoing medical need is eye drops to help manage some dry eye that we suspect may be related to seasonal allergies. Her future family will need to be comfortable keeping up with her eye care and any veterinary recommendations.

Other than that, this girl is a happy little ball of energy who is thoroughly enjoying her second chance at life.

Dumpling’s ideal home?

Someone who appreciates the unique personalities of French Bulldogs, understands that these little dogs can have special medical needs, and is ready to give her the structure, patience, and affection she deserves.

She doesn’t need a house full of chaos or constant excitement. She needs a family who will love her, make her feel safe, and occasionally remind her that the entire universe does not revolve around Dumpling.

More than anything, we want Dumpling to experience the life she should have had from the very beginning.

A life where she’s cherished. Where she’s safe. Where her needs come first. And where her biggest concern is deciding which comfy spot she’s going to nap in next.

If you live outside the Dallas–Fort Worth area, you must be willing to travel to Dallas to meet Dumpling in person and, if everything goes well, bring her home with you.
