Meet Haus

Haus aka Haus Sauce was surrendered to the Dallas Animal Shelter by his family after they moved from a piece of property to an apartment in the city. Haus was not adjusting and they were getting noise complaints. Hounds tend to get a little loud when they sing the songs of their people.

Haus was at the shelter for a few weeks and we were surprised that no one had swooped in to save him.

When me met him….we kind of understood why some people may have passed up on him. He is a GIANT ‘puppy”. He is around 5.5 years old but still plays like a puppy.

And like a true Bloodhound….he is STRONG on leash. Don’t expect to take him on a nice stroll. He goes where his nose leads him.

Haus doesn’t care to play or interact with other dogs. He is very indifferent. He does bond with his human very closely and we have noticed that he likes to wedge himself between his human and another dog when they get close. Almost like guarding them.

Resource guarding food can be common in the breed, and Haus has shown signs of being protective with his food. Because of this, we are looking for an experienced hound owner and a home with no children. Teenagers and older.

Haus is:

Crate trained

Potty trained

Indifferent about dogs.

No Cats

Loves people.

No Young Kids.

We are looking for a home preferably with no other dogs and a back yard for him to lounge around at and judge your neighbors from. If he sounds like your next soul dog….Please fill out an adoption application so that we can schedule a call to chat.

Note: We do not ship dogs out of state. You must come to the Dallas area to meet our dogs prior to adoption.
