They say the best things come in pairs—and Pickles and Pugsley are living, tail-wagging proof. This bonded duo of senior dachshunds has spent their whole lives side by side, and they’re looking for a retirement home where love, naps, and snack breaks are in full supply.

At 14 years young, little red Pickles (about 12 lbs of mini magic) is the slightly smaller half of the duo—though he’s got just as much heart as his brother. Pugsley, the handsome tri merle at 16 years old (about 17 lbs), is the gentle giant of the two. Sadly, their mama passed away recently, and while they’ve been through a confusing time, they’ve held onto the one thing that matters most: each other.

These boys are the definition of low-maintenance lovebugs. They’re potty trained, playpen trained, and just had a full vet exam and dental—so they’re feeling fresher than ever and ready to start their next chapter. When outside, they love to wander the yard like two little old men discussing the weather. Inside? It’s all about cuddles, naps, and synchronized snoring.

They’re great with both big and small dogs, but we’ll be honest—cats are a no-go. These gents are strictly a no-feline zone.

Affectionate doesn’t even begin to cover it—these two will smother you in kisses, then curl up beside you like they’ve known you their whole lives. Whether it’s selective hearing or genuine hearing loss, we can’t say—but thunder, fireworks, doorbells… none of it phases them. They sleep like rocks. Adorable, squishy rocks.
