Meet Raven!

We’ve rescued over 800 dogs now and as far as puppies go I’ve never seen a more fearful and shutdown puppy inside a shelter.

Raven wasn’t excited to leave like most young dogs. She was hiding in a corner, refusing to make eye contact. Growling when we tried to call her over. We don’t know what happened to her before she came in but it shattered Raven…. It’s taken a lot of time and work but all of that is now behind her.

Raven has shown she not can bound with us but her foster family, the trainers she stayed with and all of their dogs. Being handled by multiple people has boosted her confidence immensely.

She’s still a pup who needs a patient family as it takes her a couple days to really trust and while her obedience and leash work are good you have to be patient while she explored new areas. Once this girl exhales though you won’t find a sweeter more loyal little companion.
