Robin

Robin has had an unfortunate and difficult life. She was first picked up and brought into the shelter when she was only about 1–2 years old. Six years later, animal control picked her up again, in her intake photo she was found tied to her owner’s car.
Robin’s ears had been eaten away by fly strike, her fur was infested with fleas, and she had open, raw, bloody sores from living outside and constantly laying on hard surfaces. Despite all of that, Robin has been an absolute sweetheart and, true to her breed, is incredibly eager to bond with and please people.
Her temperament with other dogs has been fantastic as well. She does a great job sharing space and enjoys playing tag with other dogs. Obviously, nobody ever invested the time to teach her any obedience work, but we’ve already started working on that, and being a Malinois, it won’t be long before she’s an absolute rockstar.
Typically, with this breed, we prefer adopters who have experience or at least familiarity with German Shepherds or other working breeds. Robin is the exception to that rule. Her temperament has been so phenomenal that she would be a great fit for someone looking to get their feet wet and learn more about the breed before diving in headfirst with your prototypical crazy “Maligator.”or for anyone looking to add an incredible member to their family.
If you're interested in learning more about Robin, please fill out an adoption application so that we can schedule a call. Please note that we do not ship dogs out of state. Adopters must travel to Texas to meet and bring their new furbaby home.
