Sunny

Meet Sunny! ☀
Sunny is officially ready to find his forever home!
Sunny and his siblings came to our rescue when they were just 3 weeks old after arriving at the shelter without their mother. We’ve had the privilege oraising and loving this litter, and now at 8 weeks old, they’re ready to start the next chapter of their lives with families of their own.
We believe Sunny is a German Shepherd mix, though we’re still waiting on his Wisdom Panel DNA results to confirm. Our best guess is German Shepherd mixed with either Husky or Australian Shepherd. Whatever his breed mix may be, one thing is certain—Sunny is as sweet as they come.
Sunny is our sensitive boy. He approaches the world thoughtfully and tends to take things in before diving headfirst into new experiences. While he can be a little cautious at first, it’s not because he’s fearful—he simply likes to make sure everything is safe before joining in on the fun.
Once Sunny feels comfortable, his playful and social side comes shining through. He loves interacting with his siblings, exploring his surroundings, and being part of whatever is going on around him. He’s also a total cuddle bug and never turns down an opportunity to snuggle up with his people after a day of puppy adventures.
Sunny’s gentle nature and thoughtful personality make him a special little guy. With continued socialization, positive experiences, and confidence-building, we think he’s going to grow into a wonderful companion who forms deep bonds with his family.
Like most puppies his age, Sunny is still learning about the world around him. Because he is only 8 weeks old, potty training is a work in progress, and formal crate training has not yet begun.
One of the most beautiful things about bringing home a puppy is that they are a blank slate.
Sunny will be heavily influenced by the time, training, socialization, and structure you provide. Puppies are adorable, but they are also a huge commitment.
Before applying, please make sure you’re fully prepared for the responsibility, patience, and consistency that come with raising a puppy into a well-rounded adult dog.
We absolutely welcome apartment dwellers to apply; however, please understand that puppies who are not fully vaccinated cannot safely walk in common potty areas. This often makes potty training more challenging and requires additional planning and management.
If you rent, please verify with your landlord or leasing office that there are no breed, size, or weight restrictions before submitting an application.
All of our puppies will be spayed or neutered at approximately 4.5 months of age during their final vaccine appointment, which is covered by our rescue.
If Sunny sounds like the missing piece you’ve been searching for, we’d love to hear from you! Fill out an adoption application and let’s schedule a time to chat.
Please note: We do not transport or ship dogs out of state. If you are not local to the Dallas area, you must be willing to travel here to meet Sunny and bring him home yourself.
